Belmont Minimum Wage Poster

Note: Employers who fail to comply with Belmont posting requirements and local employment laws may be subject to reinstatement of the employee, payment of back wages and civil penalties.

Covered Employers/Employees

Employers who are subject to the Belmont Business License Tax or who maintain a facility in Belmont are required to pay no less than the City Minimum Wage to each employee who performs at least two (2) hours of work per week within the geographic boundaries of the City of Belmont, including employees who are under 18.

Required Notices

CalChamber’s 11” x 17” Belmont Minimum Wage poster in English contains the official notice with the current minimum wage as required by the City of Belmont Minimum Wage Ordinance (MWO).

Every employer must post the Belmont Minimum Wage Official Notice prominently in the areas at the work site where it will be seen by all employees. Failure to post such notice will be a violation of the Municipal Code.
