Foster City Minimum Wage

Note: Employers who fail to comply with Foster City posting requirements and local employment laws may be subject to administrative citations, penalties and civil actions.

Covered Employers/Employees

The City of Foster City Minimum Wage Ordinance (MWO) applies to all employers who hold a business license from the City and who directly or indirectly employ or exercise control over the wages, hours, or working conditions of any employee in Foster City. All employees who perform at least two (2) hours of work in a calendar week within the geographic limits of the City must be paid wages no less than the minimum wage for each hour worked.

Posting Specifics

Every employer must post the notice, prominently in areas at the work site where it will be seen by all employees.
